Ammonite is the second of the new essences which began to arrive in 2008.
Searching through a basket of shells to see if any were willing to hold energy for a new essence, I felt a ray of love extending towards me from a fossil ammonite. I had not thought to use a fossil shell, but the energy was so powerful and loving I was almost moved to tears. All doubt and hesitancy left me; this was the right shell.
The cephalopod ammonites and nautiloids are the most intelligent and advanced class of mollusks. Most of the fossil ammonites found today are between seventy and three hundred million years old. My ammonite was a gift from a friend many years ago. No doubt it lay waiting until we were ready for this energy.
Ammonite is one of the new Shell Essences which have arrived to help us align with the different energy becoming available, energy information we have probably carried for eons until we were ready to allow it to unfold. This Ammonite has come to help us cope with change. Our world is changing, and times of change bring both opportunities and fear. The Ammonite’s healing gifts are courage and faith: to hold steadfast to the energy of love and allow all else to change. To move forward with courage and the knowledge that as long as love remains steadfast, times and tides may come and go.
This essence helps us to manifest the dream which we desire to achieve, by staying the distance rather than losing faith and giving up; patience is one of its gifts. To grasp opportunities and move in a different direction takes courage: we must remain centered in our heart and be prepared to release outdated concepts and beliefs. New information cannot be written over old: the old must be released. New energy is flowing into our world but the old must move aside.
The courage of Ammonite comes from a feeling of inner security: a belief that despite what may be happening around us, nothing can affect our quiet inner resolve. It helps us focus on the eternal energy of love within rather than the changes without. Ammonite calms anxiety and gives a feeling of peace and stability.
Shin-Bone Tibia, the first of the new wave of essences helps us see new opportunities and abilities and to step forward with belief, enthusiasm and gratitude. Ammonite gives courage, determination, and unwavering faith to continue on our journey with the knowledge that although difficulties may confront us, we will reach our goal.
Kevin
Kevin was one of the first people to trial the new Ammonite. He described his workplace as a ‘mess of fear and stress’. Customer satisfaction was low and the company was about to lose the account with the next round of contract award. Redundancies were imminent; management was in denial and as usual blamed the workers. Kevin admitted he was very stressed by the blame throwing and the uncertainty about his future – until he started a course of Ammonite.
He related that the workplace was still a mess, but he no longer felt stressed. Instead he continued to happily solve the problems placed before him, and no longer worried about his future within the workplace, regarding change as inevitable and feeling that he would be looked after come what may.
